jasmine rena // portrait catch-up

Today is the start of my series of posts dedicated to catching you all up with what's been keeping me busy for the past year in photography. Seriously, if I had a dollar for every time I'd respond with "I'm building my portfolio..." to those of you who'd ask how my business was going I'm pretty sure I'd be crazy rich. ;) Dozens and dozens of sessions I've had with seniors, families, couples, kids, and newborns. I've even had a few weddings sprinkled in there! I'm SUPER excited to share. These posts are intended to be a bit sporadic, so keep checking back!

I'm starting off with some of my favorites from a session I had earlier this year with my good friend, Jasmine Rena. I met this girl a couple years ago when her and I were counselors at a camp for foster girls. I was immediately drawn to her contagious smile, incredible sense of humor, inward strength, and beautiful heart for the Lord.

Although we had to cancel the photo-shoot a couple times due to thunderstorms, we had such a fun time in one of my favorite places and the light couldn't of been any better. There's tons of color, light, and smiles in these shots, which always makes for a favorite. If you agree, leave some love in the comments below - I LOVE hearing from you!

Much love,
