arington family // portraits

Happy weekend, everyone! This morning I am so excited to share my most recent family session with you all.

This family session happens to be of my best friend, Suzanne, and her sweet little family. Suz and I have been best friends since little girls. We met when we were 9 years old, and even though we didn't hit it off at first, we grew to be almost inseparable...and everyone knew it. She and I loved to be outdoors. I loved that we had that in common. Whether it'd be playing sports with our brothers, finding our way through the homemade hay maze in her family's barn, swimming ALL DAY at my place, or even the mud fights we [might] have had...she was always up for an adventure, and there was never a dull moment in our childhood. However, my favorite times were when we'd sit on the top of the harvester in her backyard talking about everything under the sun. We'd talk about our dreams, we'd talk about our struggles, we'd talk about how life was flying by and how we didn't want to miss any of it. We laughed [sometimes uncontrollably], and other times we'd cry. We'd talk about everything the Lord had been doing in our lives, and His faithfulness thus far.

As we grew older and as we started on the paths of our own, our friendship did change. But it changed in a way that was sweeter, and more real than I ever could imagine it being. She married the man of her dreams [joshua] at 18 years old, and she just celebrated her 21st birthday earlier this week with her husband and her two [darling] little boys, Orrin and Judson. As I've watched Suzanne change from a little girl, to a young woman, to a wife, and then to a mother, I can't help but be so proud of where the Lord has brought her. She has been one of the greatest gifts God ever could have blessed me with because no matter what stage she's been in, she always made time to be there for me whenever I'd be going through a bumpy time of my own.

Two weeks ago I was privileged to capture her little family during evening magic hour and ohhhh mmyyy gooddnessss, get ready for some crazy cuteness

1...2...3...now.

Much love,
