spring 2015 // portraits

Every year when Spring comes around, it becomes my most favorite season all over again. The thunderstorms roll in, you're able to smell that strong scent of rain, flowers are everywhere, the weather gets warmer, and everything becomes new once again. I adore Spring...I think I always will.

In the past years I had always been too busy (okay, lazy) to get outside and spend some time taking photos and challenging myself in landscape photography. But this year I decided to change that. I decided to go back to the basics and take photos of the special places in my own backyard...just like I used to. Needless to say, it was refreshing. It was refreshing to step out of my "norm" and take photos of the things I usually enjoy from a distance.

Take a look for yourself, you can almost smell these flowers. :)

"For low the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land." // Song of Solomon 2:11-12

Much love,
